I easily walked well over 10 miles today - 8.5 miles of mapped and tracked exercise! And that doesn't include at least another hour of walking around various shops. My miles and clocked stopped anytime I wasn't moving or really exercising.
I'm logging over 23k of steps today! (sorta helps sooth Thursday's paltry not-even- 5000-step-day )
We did over 1200 leg and lung busting stairs and lots of steep inclines that should have been converted to stairs. I knew we were planning an urban hike on a hill with steps, but I didn't realize how many and how much work it would take.
I can't believe how much my fitness has improved in what seems like a short time. 18 months ago a flight of stairs winded me and I would have done everything I possible to avoid stairs. I would have driven my car and and re-parked to avoid walking more than a few block. I would have driven to this beautiful view point for a picture. Heck, I wouldn't have even left the house back then...I would have been feeling depressed at home about not being able to LIVE life. I MUST continue to compare my current self with my old self. I have to use that memory to inspire me NEVER to go back.

And thanks to today's hike, I have a little wiggle-room with my 150-miles by 2/8 goal (only 3.77 miles per day on reaching my 150 miles by 2/8).
