Went to the reproductive endocrinologist this morning to get more blood drawn and have another ultrasound. Apparently my follicles were no bigger than they were a few days ago, despite the injections I've been giving myself. The doctor upped my dose a smidge and I have to go back again on Wednesday. I was SO disappointed. No change at all????
It was kind of a sucky morning, particularly since we had to go to the office location that's an hour away from us, since the closer office isn't open on weekends. And it was rainy. And when we went to church tonight, it was all about babies and baptism (and there was an actual baptism as well) because apparently this weekend is the "Feast of the Baptism of the Lord".
At least we met my sister and brother-in-law for lunch and dessert and visited my grandmother's grave while we were out and about today. Lunch was fried chicken tenders, because we always used to get them from this place when we visited my grandma, but I tried to pick the healthiest veggie sides I could. Then dessert was gelato, and...well, there's not much you can do about that to health it up. :) I got the smallest cup they offered, at least, which wasn't really that small. But I tried. And it was good gelato!
But anyways. I go back to the doctor again on Wednesday after giving myself more injections until then, so hopefully the slightly increased dose will do the trick and make my follicles grow big enough. If not...well, it's costing like $500 for every 5 days of injections, plus ultrasounds and blood work that insurance won't cover, so....a baby is worth it, but I'm really hoping this doesn't take too long because we are definitely not rich and we've already had to spend a LOT on my various health issues in the last year.
Come on, follicles!
