Many people have poo-pooed the efficacy of vitamin c, however, I just want everyone to know that I am seeing improvement with taking extra vitamin C on my ears. My 'antibiotic resistant' cellulitis infection responds to taking vitamin C. It takes about 30 min. before I see improvement, and within an hour the swelling, redness, and hotness has abated. It seems to be worse in the evening. I had been taking it just when the ear got bad, maybe 2x/day. Today I tried taking it 3x, and I seem to have avoided the evening flare up. Go figure. I am hopeful that this will keep it at bay.
I did my belly dance
tape this morning. Again, I woke up and didn't want to workout right away. I ate a sensible breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I have Jillian's 'Kickbox'
workout for tomorrow morning. Its only 25 minutes.
I just feel beat today
. All I did was emails, eat breakfast, laundry/dishes, my workout, and go to the grocery store.
The only thing on South beach that I haven't done a good job about is the rice on my sushi. Its not much, but its more than you are supposed to have in the beginning. I need to reduce it. I have reduced my ice cream consumption a great deal. I started at about 500 calories per bowl and now I'm down to 150 calories. Yeah me. I have stopped eating bread entirely
. I have increased my dairy because I go for yogurt or cottage cheese instead of ice cream now. I even had a salad last night for dinner. I'm getting there! I bought myself some nice chicken sausages for when I have that "I want to go to Denny's and eat sausage' feeling. Its cheaper and slimmer at home anyway.
Today, my old 'goal pants' died. They split down the seam. I have had them since the 10th grade. Its ok I guess. I could wear them. They were just too old. I guess this means that I have to do my workouts and reduce my calories because otherwise I won't have a darn thing to wear!
