This week has been devoted "get back to Sparking" and i am very happy with my results. I have not really made any New Year's resolutions .. I just reviewed my goals and updated them for this year.
This year I am going to concentrate on planning my meals for the week- this will enable me to plan my grocery list -AND STICK TO IT- I know that this will save me a lot a the grocery store as well as cut down on food wasted( and waisted.. pun intended!)
I joined the January Jumpstart Challenge to try to get back into doing more regular strength training.
Another goal is to get back to a regular yoga practice - I am trying to see how long I can "streak" with doing yoga five sessions a week. I have many DVD's I am using - some only 15 minutes and others an hour or longer.
So this week I accomplished the following:
Stayed in my calorie range 6 out of 7 days
Planned my menus for next week and wrote out my grocery list
Completed week one of Jumpstart- did the daily exercise DVD, ST three times , and a variety of cardio exercises ( treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine, snow shoeing)
Did at least 15 minute Yoga session every day this week
Challenges this week :
I have been trying to get more sleep - actually did get 8 hours one night - this week I at least kept a sleep journal .. which is a start
I am going to move my scale out of my bathroom so I will not be tempted to weigh myself daily - I plan to do it monthly. I am trying to concentrate on how I feel and not how much I weigh.
