2,500 Calories. That is what I ate yesterday. Needless to point out, it was pretty far above my range... I had a fairly high calorie snack yesterday - Bel Vita cookies. And we went out to dinner and then to the theatre. I really didn't think I made bad choices - a salad with citrus vinigarette, Blackened Sea Scallops... No desert. But the bread basket proved irresistable, especially with the citrus butter seasoned with paprika. And the scallops were served on a bed of sweet potato risotto. There was also grilled asparagus, but that didn't really add much. Oh, and the cocktail before dinner. and the lovely wine with dinner.... Well, i think you get the idea. Talk about self sabotage!!!

I know that this is not the end of the world, and there will be other meals in restaurants. But i have to learn to make better - and fewer - choices! I did hear the table behind me order the grouper - plain, grilled. That would have been a beter choice. And perhaps leaving half of hte risotto. Cutting the bread in half, and therefore cutting the butter in half.

I am going to work hard to get my 7 day average into my goal range. It will be tough week, as we are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, but dining out for it on Friday. My snacks will have to be lighter and healther. I will need to send that bread basket right back to the kitchen! But i can do it. And it is worth doing!!!

    Hi Patti..........
When I know that I will be eating out, I eat less the day before and the day after, so that the 7-day average levels out.
I think that you are doing a great job. emoticon
