Whoo. Hoo. My heart heart monitor came in on Tuesday. Had to ride the bike for 20 minutes that night just to see how it worked :) I will say that my calories burned are a lot different that what is posted. For the stationary bike- I burn a lot less than their averages. For walk/run I burn a lot more. I love this new little tool of mine. I have tried all of the exercises yet to compare. I can't wait to try the elliptical!
I decided to go with the Polar FT40. I like it a lot. I don't wear jewelry hardly ever because it bothers me. The wrist watch is so light and flexible I've worn it every day since I've gotten it with no problems.
My roommate decided to get the jawbone UP. It does not monitor heart rate but monitors steps taken, sleep patterns, you can use their calorie counter as well. In the future I might be interested in something like this to get an overall picture but right now I'm most concerned with my workouts and how I'm actually performing :) I think I might get my Dad the jawbone Up for his birthday though.
