4 weeks ago today I wrote my blog determined to write a blog every day. A habit takes 21 days before it becomes ingrained in us, and I think I understand now the importance of writing my thoughts every day. Some days there are lots of things to say, others have me so busy that I don't have a lot of time to think about writing. Most days however, even though I'm busy, I think about my weight loss journey, my healthy journey, and my life journey. Writing this blog has kept me on my toes, really making me think about how I am living this life journey, what I could be doing better, and what I am already doing well.
One of the things I am doing well is writing down my goals, and following through with them. Most of the goals that I write daily, are the same as the day before, but they are there because I need to do them to keep myself healthy.
Goals for today:
~ 80 oz water - 88 oz yesterday
~ 10,000 steps - 11k yesterday
~ 25 flights of stairs - 15 flights yesterday
~ smile at least once an hour
~ fruit or veggie with every meal and snack (met this goal yesterday and well on my way today)
~ grocery shopping (done)
~ clean out cupboard and send snack food home with my son
~ focus on this lifestyle I have chosen for myself and don't sweat the small stuff
I'm looking forward to walking to the park with my granddaughter after she gets up from her nap. It's 50 degrees outside in Western NY in January, which is very unusual, so we are taking advantage of that!
