Week 2 of the 5K Rookie Running Program

My hubby and I began the 5K Rookie Running Program last week. The program involves three sessions each week of a mixture of walking a jogging; jogging time increasing each week. Last week was tough but we did it early on in the week and had time for a fourth session.
This morning we set out to start week two. Week two involves walking for 3 minutes, then jogging for two minutes; repeat 3 more times. On the third set, I began thinking, "I can't do this. I can't do this." I finally said out loud, "I can!" I was proud when I did, indeed, finish that third set and began the fourth.
In the middle of the 2 minutes of jogging, I stopped. I as breathing very heavily and felt like giving up. Thankfully, my incredibly amazing husband and Psy (Oppa Gangnam Style!) was there to encourage me and I finished the fourth set. I spent the last minute crying and attempting to control my breathing. My hubby told me that I stopped for only a few seconds and kept going which is ok.
We walked in the door and I was so excited to document that we completed day 1. When I got to the computer and logged into SparkPeople, I found out that we missed an entire lap! It's 3 minutes of walking, 2 minutes of jogging; repeat 4 more times! I had to laugh. This morning was pretty emotional, so to find out that I didn't even do it correctly was a bit of a disappointment, but I have to see the humor in it. Tomorrow will start week 2 of the program instead!
