January 12, 2013...awaiting the cold blast

Saturday, January 12, 2013

Everyone had a chance to spend time in the sun yesterday and today I am out and dropping the north door. Princess, Tempra's abandoned lamb from year before last?? is ready to have her first lamb anytime. This is a ewe lamb that Mom and I bottle fed. The last one that Mom was able to help me with before she broke her hip. Mom would hold her for hours and watch TV and carry her out with the dogs and walk with her in the front yard. She got pretty spoiled...the lamb that is...Mom has always been Then when Princess got a bit too large to handle a friend offered to on my work days I would drop her off with Michelle...who quote "I am not going to hold that lamb"...but sort of succumbed to Princess who insisted on crawling in her lap when she sat on the ground...and followed her everywhere as she gardened. Lambs are insidiously charming. Anyway...Princess is due and so is Diamond Lil...both first timers so I will have to watch them. Patches should not be a problem since she has a number of lambs to her credit.
I had my breakfast at 6 when feeding the house dogs and keeping Cheer out of Bubbles food...always multitasking.

I thought lambs were born in the Spring? I've always heard the term 'Spring Lamb'. Isn't it too cold to have babies in the Winter?

Our Lord call us His lambs and sheep and compares us much to sheep needing a shepherd.

Jeus is the Lamb of Father God so lambs are very charming, at least I hope they are, LOL.

Yes, you do have to watch the two first timers giving birth.

I can just visulize you multitasking with the dogs and eating breakfast and all of the other tasks that have to be done each and everyday.

You, above all others should really have a close relationship with our Lord because of all the little creatures you have that come from heaven above and it takes His wisdom and leading of His Love and grace to have gifted you with such a magnificent life with all of His awesome blessings that you have.

Of course you grow your own spices and herbs, I could not imagine it any other way. That's why I gave you some because I think they are important to you.

Your mom is spoiled...LOL...that's a nice way for a mom to be.

Your blogs are so heart warming for me to read because I would enjoy living this way.

Enjoy the rest of the week doing the work of our Lord.
