I have spent some time the last few days reading up on goal setting and have come across several articles about setting SMART goals.
My goals last year were Lose 62.4 pounds and get fit, lose 62.4 pounds was all but timely so with that in mind That goal this year is " I chose to lose 1 pound per week for 50 weeks. The wording, also researched is meant to reiterate that it is my choice whether or not I take the steps to lose the weight. How will I achieve this goal?
I will follow the simple diet plan for 34 of 35 meals or snacks the 35th will be a sensible off plan meal of whatever I have craved the most over the week.
Get Fit is not a SMART goal So this year, I choose to run a continuous 30 minutes by April 20th 2013. How will I achieve this goal? By following the Run Your Butt Off training program, this is actually a 12 week program however not everyone can progress that fast so I have built in a 2 week variable.
I also choose to strength train a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 times per week for the next 50 weeks.
So my spark friends those are my goals for 2013
