There are times when we feel like we just can’t do something. We may be struggling financially, or in our health or in a relationship. However, we shouldn’t let our ill feelings get in the way of doing God’s will. When we begin to focus on how we feel rather than doing God’s will, we take our minds off Him and put the focus on us. We need to continuously think about God’s will and helping others. Taking action to help others and do what God wants will immediately take the focus off us and change our ill feelings.
Philippians 2:13 “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”(NLT)
Dear Lord, we know You want to work in us and give us the desire and power to do what pleases you. Help us to step away from our feelings and focus on You. Allow Your Holy Spirit to work in us so that our feelings about whatever the situation is not priority. Help us rid our ill feelings whether it be about our health, our relationships, or our finances and help us to focus completely on You so we can serve You and help others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Where is your focus today? Is it on you or others?
Putting our ill feelings aside and focusing on God will help us to think about the needs of others and what we can do to help them.
If we are struggling in any area of our lives, that can cause us to have ill feelings. Ill feelings can move us away from God and what He wants us to do in our lives. We can give Him our problems today and He can remove our ill feelings and help us focus completely on what He wants us to do.
