Escaping the Bad Stuff

Saturday, January 12, 2013

I've done a pretty good job this week of "escaping" from foods I shouldn't have. I haven't had anything bad since daughter's birthday cake on Monday, so I'm doing great! I should take pictures of empty packages of stuff I didn't have. I think it would be really motivating. :)

Yesterday I got out for a 15-mile ride with one of my riding buddies. I can't believe it's January!!! Tonight we will get a cold-front and snow, but whenever I ride in the winter, I feel like I cheated Mother Nature. It was a pretty good ride. Windy. We stayed either east or west so we wouldn't have to hit the SSW headwind. It was my first time riding with a Spokeswoman in months, thanks to all the foot pain I had last year, but this year I decided I'm not letting foot pain get in the way of enjoying the things I want to do.

After getting home from my ride I didn't feel well. Husband and 3 of our kids have had stomach flu this week, and I'm battling through it now. I haven't thrown up yet, but I want to. Ick. I start school next week so I hope I'll be better by then! I had a dream the other night that I forgot to go to school until a week after classes had started. Anxiety is kicking in already. I hope this semester will be better.

I guess that's about all. It's been a pretty quiet week of catching up on housework before school starts. I should probably put away my Christmas stuff soon too. Maybe this weekend. It all depends how I feel and if I can keep food down today!!!

Oh yeah, since we're getting snow this weekend, I'm really hoping to get my snowshoes out too. Maybe tomorrow or Monday. I'm excited about that. :)
