Blogging tonight (though it's now 1 AM) because tomorrow I won't be able to! Robbie's flight gets it an 3, and I still have to get together everything for celebrating Christmas again with him, celebrating his birthday, and then of course, celebrating finally being back with each other (if you can't tell, I'm terrible at being away from him. I require copious amounts of snuggles. He says I require 24 hours' worth a day, which I'd say is fairly accurate. Can never get enough!). Bought some candles- is it strange I think dripping wax is beautiful? We'll have on a movie, and I'll be more interested in the candles.
OH. Yes! I went shopping tonight! It was 8 degrees outside, so I wore my ski coat, and my hands practically froze in the time it took to clean the snow off the car getting to the store... and then again walking into the store... and then again walking back to the car... and you get the idea. I reminded the Dearest to wear his heavy winter coat, boots, and gloves on the plane.
So, I did my grocery shopping. Bought personal care items (shampoo for me, as I left my winter protection shampoo at home, and then alcohol-free mouthwash for him), the candles, wrenches for my sister (not sure where they went, actually... possibly lost them already) and then did some grocery shopping for me, my sister, and Rob... Got a LOT of fruit and veggies (romaine, tomatoes, cucumber, bananas, apples, grapefruit), other staples, and then some things for Rob so he has food when he gets here- I splurged and spent way too much money on a big thing of Pom, so he better be happy and love me tomorrow :P I'm proud of myself. I bought NO candy! I did buy three "treats"- a protein drink for me (drank half tonight and will drink other half tomorrow), PopTarts for the honey, and then some Baked Lays.
Today I think I'm doing all right nutritionally. I've had 1000 calories... kinda skipped over dinner. Stayed up way too late last night and then woke up way too late this... afternoon. Lol. "Dinner" will end up being my night-time snack, I suppose, that I eat with my pills. Toast with some sugar-free jam, maybe some almonds if I can stomach the fats. We will see. I'll find a way to get those 300 calories.
Fitness-wise... I'm doing OK. Haven't done any big traditional cardio lately (I love it), but I did do the daily video for the January Jumpstart. I don't have dumbbells here, so I used 5lb containers of honey! My sister thought it was the weirdest thing... but hey. I make it work! My stuff I ordered from Gaiam came today, too. Two yoga blocks, a yoga strap, a new gym bag (it's small and cute, just like me!) and a balance ball set. Online it told me to order the small- never realized before just how small it is! I'm used to the medium we have back at Spokane-home, but this one is super nice. I can actually use it to help me with bridges (the back bend way)! The medium one, I could never lift off enough to start to strengthen and lengthen those muscles more and get used to the feel, but this one I can! Useful tool, because I have wanted to be able to do a back bend for a while now- years actually- so I'm a happy camper.
My BodyMedia STILL hasn't shipped, which I understand because people are busy, but I'm getting antsy! Honey wants to start our gym plans RIGHT AWAY (aka, this monday), and I wanted to have it, but that's okay. eBay is telling me it takes a few business days to get shipped and estimates delivery before the 22nd, so... I'm good with that, I suppose! I am excited to start the gym plans again. I love the arc trainer and I love weight lifting and I can't wait to get back to it!!
I think that about covers my day :) In such a good mood even though classes start Monday :)
