Busy Days!

Saturday, January 12, 2013

Today I decided to use my stationary bike and get in ten minutes of exercise. I managed to go an additional two minutes. My knee was hurting but I managed to continue and by the time I finished, the knee seemed to be doing fine. Planned my meals for most of the following week, casseroles mainly. Hubby will be having a colonoscopy on Tuesday and surgery for the reversal on his colon on Wednesday. He will remain in the hospital 3 or 4 days, so I'm trying to be prepared, mainly for dinner. Dinner always seems to be the hardest for me, not knowing what to eat or what I'm in the mood for. Went grocery shopping and then out to get some comfortable clothing for hubby. He will need them for when he comes home from the hospital. He is so used to wearing jeans. Grandsons came over this evening, only 4 of them. We had a great evening. Love when they come to visit. Laughed a lot.

Having a busy tomorrow morning. Making mostaciolli for Helping Hands at Church and then off to the hospital again, 3rd time this week, for Hubby's echocardiogram. His primary care
physician decided he needed to have this done before surgery and then we're off to grandson's basketball game. Return home and I WILL make me time.

Thanks SP teams for all the support and encouragement.

Good luck to you AND to your hubby during and after his surgery. I'm sure you are both looking forward to having it behind you. Will keep him in my prayers and ask for a speedy and uneventful recovery. Hugs, Jeannie

Hope all goes well with your DH's surgery. Will be praying to that end. I also love it when my granddaughters come to visit. Had two of them spent the night last night. So much fun to have younger ones around. Congrats on the meal planning. I know that makes it so much easier when it comes time to cook. Take good care of yourself and have a good day! Hugz, Sharon
