Someone Has To Be # 1 ....... Why Not You?

On one of my favorite teams, a member asked about tips ....... I rattled off some fitness basics that prove to work ! ....... That is IF we work them ........ Let's exercise that one body part we often neglect ..........brain vs. our talk ...........
Have you ever really thought about how you talk to yourself ....... the one person you live with night and day? Are you your best friend? ..... You can be ....... emoticon

Tips on staying with it? ........... Plain old VANITY works ...(or a healthy pride)...... Suck it up whenever you get a compliment ............. And don't tell anyone I said this ............. cos it is old and maybe a little lame ............ BUT negative self talk is never beneficial, so when you look in the mirror, find SOMETHING GOOD and tell yourself positive things that reinforce your wanting to stay with it ....... If you have pretty skin, tell yourself, "I'm not done yet either: Before I am finished with this 'work in progress, I will have lovely cheek bones showing IN the glowing skin!" .............. If you like your legs, tell yourself, "I love how I see new curves and firm muscles taking place" ......get the drift? ....And give yourself a pat on the back when you make accomplishments, (even if you think it is 'small.' .... .. Ok now ........ try this first thing in the morning ........... (Bed hair, and all)

Repeat these words:
" Am I ever beautiful!"
"Today is a new day and I will make time for ME!"

"I am positively RADIANT! ........... emoticon DANG!! If I get any more beautiful, I won't be able to STAND MYSELF!!" ...........
"I may INFLUENCE OTHERS around me! .........
"Jillian Michaels .............. TAKE A BACK SEAT !............ I'm comin through!! emoticon
"I MAY even write my first book!!
"I had better get used to fame .............
"MAN!! Am I GOOD!" ........THIS could be FUN!!!............
"I am one SWEATY LEAN MEAN FAT BURNIN MACHINE!!" ........... emoticon

Why not? .............. We know negative self talk works ..........thoughts and words that can only bring you down and cause defeat.
The positive words YOU say to yourself spark you! The tiniest spark can ignite a blaze .....and end with a Bonfire!....... It's proven! After all, what is the name of this web site? ............ lol
The year is still young .............. Why not turn it around?
Make TODAY emoticon
And you BE number 1!

  Great source of inspiration. I tapped into this thinking yesterday at the gym. I cheerleaded myself right to my fastest sprint! We are our greatest ally, our number one team mate, our biggest fan! Keep up the good work.

    Not sure I could look in the mirror first thing in the morning and say any of the things you suggested without totally cracking up, but that's okay, because laughter is always good too! I loved the line about beauty sleep really does work! Thanks for sharing!

    I absolutely love this I do this all the time and wish more people would Just today i was downstairs in the gym the only women there and i was saying to myself I Am the prettiest girl in the room ,I am the skinniest the sexiest and it made me laugh but it also made me feel good which helped me to burn more calories and stay on the treadmill longer until the 100 pound 18 yearold came struting down the stairs oh well i was still the best 50 plus women there lol .

    So true and yet so hard to do! When I look in the mirror I try to find things I like but I just don' least not yet...but I'm continuing to work and look and hope to find something soon. Thanks for the very important reminder!

    Great blog. Being positive is so important to achieving any goal. You have to love yourself enough to make some good changes in your life. If you lose 15 pounds, buy some new jeans. Celebrate your loss instead of moaning about all the pounds you still need to lose. If you walk for 30 minutes, rejoice. Don't tell yourself "It should have been 45 minutes."

    I never used to put myself first. But last March, I was so tired of being obese and just not caring. One of the first things I did when I got on track was to start loving myself. I always speak positively to myself now. It helps me to keep going, and it keeps me strong when others say thinks that are not so nice!
