An Awakening and Goals Reached

Friday, January 11, 2013

Today I had 3 goals to reach. I reached 2 of them. WHoo Hoo! It is important for me to recognize my success. SO I am doing just that emoticon

I have been feeling really crummy for about a week and have not been able to figure out what is up with me. A sweet friend sent me a message today and what she had to say made real sense. What she talked about was all the rotten stuff I am getting rid of as a result of not smoking any more. I had heard about all this but had forgotten about it. The cold/flu thing . The terrible tiredness, the lack of energy and the blue funk, all symptoms of detoxing I think.
It makes me feel so happy and free that I am really getting over smoking. now and my body is acknowledging that I AM doing this so get used to it! I am not at the point today where I was able to go full out and get everything done that I wanted. In fact, I slept 3 hours this afternoon, but my attitude has changed for the better and I am now in a positive place where I can begin to make progress again. I am Happy, happy, happy. I just wanted you all to know that I am back with a vengeance and will be able to get moving again now. Thanks my good, good friend.

Your attitude is great, Gini, and it sounds like most people are agreeing that it is due to giving up the smoking. It should pass soon! Best to you! You are doing such an awesome and amazing job...really, really proud of you and happy for you! Hugs, Jeannie

I agree; sometimes you got to feel like #!@% before you start to feel good. I too, went through a BLETCH period when I first quit. Good for you, focus on what you did accomplish. emoticon emoticon

WOW Gini, that's quite an accomplishment !!! I am so proud of you. You are right on the mark with the detox facts, your body and mind does experience all kinds of quirks when it is experiencing withdrawal. Good for you for recognizing and going with it. I think once you have been smoke free for 30 days you will have kicked the habit !!! Keep all this imprtant stuff in mind as you make it to the finish line.

Woo Hoo, you're almost there !!!!
