My spirit is soaring

Friday, January 11, 2013

Today was a pretty good day. One student had a major behavior BUT it didn't happen until 5 minutes before the kids were due to get on the bus. Fridays are always good days. Speech, OT, and PT all come in and take various kids out of the room and work with them all day long. Today was even better because 2 of my students had earned the school-wide reward and all afternoon they had board games, a dance, electronic/computer games, and sports. I had my SMARTBOARD up and working and discovered a wonderful - story telling program that kept the other kids occupied for most of the afternoon. School generally went well.

I was PHYSICALLY in a LOT of pain today. I twisted my knee (nobody DID anything to me) and could barely put weight on it today. I wanted to cry most of the day - my arthritis is sore BUT this is something else. If not better by Monday, I might have to go to doctor.

I FEEL really good emotionally and am at peace. Now, I am going to settle down and read. I think this was a really good week and I am confident that my precious Jay is at peace and no longer in pain and I smile a little as I envision him giving advice (GOOD advice at that) to God and all His angels. Jay would be comfortable sharing heaven with them all - maybe he will encounter my son Mike.

Night all.

Sorry about your knee! Hope it is better today. Maybe a little rest this weekend will be the cure for it. Hugs, Jeannie

Sounds like your day at school was unusually quiet and smooth. I'm sorry your knee pain is so bad. I also have osteoarthritis in my knees and quite a few other places. The cold weather and damp rainy weather doesn't agree with it at all. Rest up this weekend and if it's not better soon you probably should go to the Dr. to see what he can do to help them feel better again. I try to do chair marching and since I've been doing that my knee pain is much better. Take good care.

Love,

Jill

Glad your spirit is soaring but sad that your knee is hurting you. I retired from teaching in 2005 and admire and respect those still in the trenches. Don't delay seeing the doctor if the knee continues to hurt.
