Friday Food Blog- Mexican Food!

I made it to 72 grams of protein today!

BREAKFAST:
~ Oat bran with added egg whites, pumpkin, banana, and blueberries


~ I have a huge aloe plant in my yard. Aloe is very good for digestion and liver detoxification. I added about 4 tbsp to some water and drank it down. No- it doesn't taste good but I definitely needed it today!


LUNCH:
~ Chobani yogurt with a rice cake and a slice of Ezekiel bread


SNACK:
~ My beloved pineapple!


DINNER:
I had high anxiety on my way to the Mexican restaurant! My typical binge starts with chips, salsa, and margaritas! But tonight I did very well with this fresh, tasty dish!
~ Fresh fish ceviche (I did not eat the tortilla chips)

    You are lucky to have an aloe plant. Many great uses. Good for sunburns and cuts too! Your dinner looks very satisfying. Way to go staying on track ;-)!

    I've never tried fresh Aloe from the plant. I'll have to research that a bit first though. LOL

Looks like another great day. I'm so happy that you had a healthy meal at the Mexican restaurant. I bet you feel so much better this morning without the sugar/salt/fat hangover!

    OOOh you'r brave, I hear Aloe Vera is bitter, but I also hear it has major benefit, I might consider adding it to a smoothie, who knows. And the meals look lovely, I cannot find rice cakes to save my life at Walmart, where do you get them?
