Besides wanting to get my weight down I now have more reasons to change my diet to be more healthy. I finally came to the conclusion that my "sinus headaches" were not sinus headaches at all but migraines after a visit to my doctor. I've been averaging 2 migraine headaches a month now. He gave me a prescription for a powerful migraine drug but I'd rather not take it unless I have too My goal is to manage them naturally. I've been researching on line and have found that diet can greatly have an influence on migraines. I've discovered that onions are a trigger and sadly cheese can also be a trigger. I've decided to try and eat more whole foods and foods that I prepare rather than packaged foods whenever I can. A bag of baby organic carrots is quite yummy and actually satisfies my snacking needs instead of crackers or chips. I'm incorporating more beans, fruits and veggies. MSG which is in SO many processed foods is also something that can trigger migraines. So I'm gong to try and prepare more of my own foods, eat fresh veggies and fruits and see what happens. Even if my migraines don't disappear completely I will at least be on the right track to being healthy. I've only done it for a few days so far but I'm feeling better already.
