My husband was kind enough to put our exercise equipment in the garage for the winter, instead of the shop. I have a treadmill, an elliptical, and a Total Gym....which I do not really know how to use. We have had these pieces of equipment for over 2 years.....sad, but true. I have no excuses. I even got a Giant bicycle for Christmas last year. I have not used it as much as I wanted. Last year seemed to be the year for everyone else, just not us.....or so I said. I think it is easier to put others first instead of starting on ourselves. Working on myself is hard. Helping others is not.
So....this is our year, for my husband and me. We have decided that 2013 is the year that we begin our road to excellent health. We are both in Weight Watchers....isn't it funny how we have gone for over a year, and when we looked at our progress the last 12 months, we realized that we had both GAINED almost 10 pounds???? SOOO easy to get off track. Speaking of track....that is my goal this year. To track. Track my food, track my thoughts, track my exercise, track my emotions. My biggest goal is to stay consistent, and pick myself up when I fall, and continue. Tracking will only give me more information about myself.

    I just joined weight watchers and my husband just bought a recumbent bike for us to use. Of course trying to get someone to put it together is one thing! I actually liking tracking my food here better than the point system but need the accountability of weighing in.

Good luck to you, I find the blogs at Spark People really inspiring as a way to keep motivated to change.

  I truely know how you feel. I too have my own gym at home and I still find other things to do for others, rather than focus on myself and workout. I have such a great desire to work out daily but I get stuck doing other things. I have no more excuses. "my gym" is not far, I have a portable heater in there, I have a flat screen TV with cable hooked up,I have a stereo hooked up in there, I have weights, and a full-size elyptical and full-size treadmill too!!! What else do I want?! I know, I want my husband to work out with me....just like your husband does with you. We are like you too, in that we have both gained weight over the last year. We can do it!!! emoticon
