I had a fun time going through the check-out line at Target today. I bought three things: the new SparkPeople exercise DVD (because it was on sale cheep), a clearance water bottle so I don't have to have the sucking sound from a sport bottle on stage, and....stuff required to make brownie cookie bars.
The gal (she must have been early 20s) looked at me and said, "Okay, you gotta explain this to me. Exercise DVD and water bottle...and brownies?? How does that work??" I grinned and said the brownies were for the chorus party bus tomorrow...I would take one, pass it away and not touch it again. And I told her all things in moderation, even brownies, because in less than a year, I'm down 55 pounds. She seemed surprised and grinned and said, "You go, girl!" and gave me a high-five. LOL!
Then she told me she loved singing even though she wasn't very good at it, but she liked playing clarinet. I told her to keep up with it, and sing anyway, even if she didn't think she was good...because if she was enjoying herself, what else matters? :)
