Sweet Potato & Turnip Greens

Friday, January 11, 2013

Wow, I had no idea that these two would go so good together. I realize that this isn't going to be for everyone. You have to play around and find foods that work for you.
I could be spending my time thinking about all the fattening foods I love and crave OR I could shift my thinking to healthy low cal, easy to prepare stuff that I truly like. It's called "LIFESTYLE CHANGE" folks.
Oh, I still eat the fattening stuff every now and then.

This was my lunch today (310 calories)

That looks wonderful! I like to combine sweet potatoes and collard greens with a little crushed red pepper flakes and liquid smoke. Also pairs well with a little chopped turkey.

Yum! Great find. I love greens and sweet potatoes together. Collard greens are good with them too. This is something we've eaten in our family since I was kid. Again, yum. I'm glad you discovered this great combo. emoticon

I'll have to try it too - I really need to get more leafy greens, which I hate with a passion, into my diet.
