Day 11 - recap of yesterday

Friday, January 11, 2013

I forgot to mention on yesterday's blog post that I finally got around to ordering the SP Cookbook - and even better news is that it shipped out yesterday! Yay - I love cookbooks and I know this will have healthy recipes to try so can't wait for it to arrive! emoticon

Last night I was getting ready to go to bed when I noticed on my Fitbit that I was at around 9100 steps ugh .... being that close to 10k for the first time since I bought it, I knew I couldn't go to bed without hitting that goal .... well it was freezing cold outside (literally - the temp was 32 when I got home at 5 so it was probably around 28-29 by this time) so not wanting to go freeze my booty, I opted for pacing the house. So it was a walk down the hall and back, around the living room, down the stairs, around the game room, back upstairs, back through the living room etc etc etc until I hit 10k steps .... the nice thing too is that I had been at around 15 sets of stairs and by hitting my 10k step mark using my stairs as well, I ended up at 20 sets of stairs also! WOO HOO felt good to get some sleep knowing I had met my minimum mark for the day emoticon

Today is starting a bit slower for steps - I've been really busy at work so I didn't get my morning break so I didn't get to use the treadmill, but I'll make up for it later - determined now to hit that 10k mark again today!

And there is no rain/snow in the forecast for this weekend so it will be easy to get outside and get some raking done - get out for longer walks etc. Should be a good weekend!!

Hope you all have a great weekend - best to you!

How about another quote ....

"Develop success from failures. Discouragement and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success." ~Dale Carnegie
