Today I took my first step in the right direction.

Since it was an unseasonably warm day today I went out to the yard barn and turned on the treadmill. I kept telling myself I am strong...I am healthy...I am fit...I am lean. It was a bit rough as I haven't been on the tread since June but even so I managed to last 35 min at 3.0 speed and burned 200 calories. It's a start. Hoping to keep at it for an hour tomorrow but I will take what I can get until I build up enough stamina again. Every little bit helps. Now I think I'll go feed the birds.     Even if it's 15 minutes, that's longer than you did the day or week before. Each minute counts, but don't overdo it. Set yourself up for success!

    Commitment. That's what it's all about. Doing the best we can do and liking who we are each and every day. It's like anything else. Practice makes perfect. The more we practice this the better we will get until it's no big deal we just do it. Keep putting that one foot in front of the other. Be proud of yourself. You moved forward.

    You go, girl.....sounds to me like you are taking quite a few steps forward here lately, and it's all good. This ol' life is just nothing but one big, continual process, isn't it? Seems like you no sooner get your feet beneath ya then something else comes along that tries to knock us on our arses. But I'm thinking this is the way it is supposed to be, for some reason......I think, sometimes, that we have to have the rug wiped out from under us to make us stop and re-evaluate everything else, including ourselves, maybe. It's a mystery and I'll never be smart enough to understand it all, for sure. But proud of you for doing this for yourself, and I hope you continue without getting discouraged along the way. Every day is a new day, and some days are better than others. I'd say this was a very good day, keep up the good work!

    Good job on getting your fitness in! You are doing great. Ya know, thats what I do too, when I'm doing my strength training. I do 12 reps so instead of counting to one-two-three-four, I say "Strength! Power! Endurance! Speed! That's one!--Strength! Power! Endurance! Speed! That's two!" and so on =)
