90 lbs lost - Comparison Pictures 250 vs 160

Friday, January 11, 2013

So I finally took some comparison pictures. I don't notice as much of a difference between 170 and 160. My back does seem a little different in the 160 though. I definitely should do more exercising. I don't feel skinny even though I am much skinnier.

I am very close to my healthy weight goal, but I still mentally feel so far from where I would like my body to be. I am trying not to be too selfish about my looks, but when I was at 155 at age 18 my body was much different. I guess all of the fat for so long really stretched me out. Maybe one day I will feel better about the stretch marks! For now, I just have to be happy with how much I have changed in my life! I am 27, and from now on I will continue to be more focused on me! My life is very important, and I am still pushing to stay healthy! I can't go back!

Besides losing the weight, I also lost a lot of negativity in my life! I also lost my high blood pressure! I gained new knowledge, a positive attitude, and a wonderful new lifestyle with Spark. Thank you so much for the continued support. Even though I hate looking at the pictures of myself, it helps me keep moving forward. I can't go back to how I used to be. Hopefully I get more motivation to keep working out. I am trying not to slack off, but my work is tough for me right now. My new position has me a little stressed.

SIRENSONGS and JORDANLHALL hit the nail on the head!! Courage and bravery!! I do not have the courage and am not brave enough to put pictures of my jiggly, bouncy, rubbery, blubbery fat alongside my more current pictures. (At that, I am NOT where I want to be, so I'm sure the current pictures still reveal much more flab than my pride allows me to share, as well!) But . . . YOU, KIMPY225, have overcome the barrier and posted comparison underwear shots! Thank you so much for helping the rest of us realize just what we can accomplish if we persevere just as you have!! Congratulations to you, my SparkFriend, for your hard work and persistence to accomplish so much!!!

    90 pounds?! WOW CONGRATULATIONS!

I am both amazed and proud. Your courage and commitment really inspire me!

Haha and I agree with you - as much as we would like, our bodies aren't going to be as they were when we were teenagers, even if the scale says the weight is the same. When I started my journey, I accepted that I was going to have some loose skin and flab that wouldn't go away around my stomach and upper arms as well as severe stretch marks all over my body. Maybe one day I'll invest in some body contouring if it bothers me, but remedying those things aren't the point!

The point is changing yourself inside and out as well as achieving a better life overall, and it definitely seems like you're doing that! I definitely know what you mean by losing a lot of negativity! That for me is the best achievement of all, because I was such a self-abusing pessimist that I didn't go anywhere in life. Now I'm consistently breaking personal records for use of exclamation points, haha!

I believe you can reach your goals and achieve so much more with the dedication and attitude you possess. You can do anything, and it's a privilege to be able to witness it. Keep doing amazing things!

Congratulations on your weight loss success! You have done amazingly well, and are truly inspirational! And thank you for being brave enough to post these pictures. I wish I could do underwear shots, but I don't have the courage!

I can relate to how our bodies change over time, even when we're at the same weight that we were when we were younger. I wish I could have my 18 year old body back, but unfortunately, I've abused it too much for it to ever be back in that condition, even though I actually weigh slightly LESS now. In any case, you should be proud of all that you've accomplished, and overlook the things that you can't change, like stretch marks, and keep working on what you can, like just continuing along your healthy part, because you have done remarkably well and I know that you will reach your goals!

What a great achievement !! Woo Hoo !! You go girl. It's so emoticon congratulation.
When I was in my twenties I hate my stretch mark. I had develop stretch mark all over entire my stomach due to pregnancy with my kids. it did looks Like water melon but looks worth... But now I'm in my forties and its kinda little lighten up bit. It doesn't looks as bad as it was. But you can definitely see, it is there. I think strength training will help tighten up some loos skin. Lately I have started to use Nivea skin firming body lotion. It has Co-enzyme Q10 in it and I feels and see the improvement on my skin. Especially my flabby arms. Remember, you have become so far.. You did work hard and you should be appreciate your effort to yourself and be very very happy for your achievement. I know you will become much better in the future. But for now. You should pat yourself on your shoulder. Again Congratulations !!
Thanks for sharing your Great Victory !!

Don't worry too much about the "feeling" skinner part of it...I think that'll probably take some time. Focus more on what you can do now vs. what you could do at 250. Better balance, longer workouts, climbing stairs with little effort...stuff like that. You've lost so much weight that you really haven't had time to get to know the "current" you. You should know you are rockin' at any weight, so be sure to make the effort to try to love how you look now. "Fake it til you make it" as I saw on another blog.

Also keep in mind that some of those stretchy areas will improve with time emoticon

You have accomplished so much and kept your eye on your ultimate goal! I'm proud of you! emoticon

I love comparison photos! Thank you so much for sharing them. I am not brave enough to do underwear shots, so I really admire you for that. You may not have seen much difference between 170-160, but look at your arms! They look much more toned than the previous photo! I can totally see shoulder muscles :) You look so much healthier than in your starting photos!

I think deciding where to end is tricky, but you have been going about this very sensibly, so I think you'll know it when you get there. You'll know when you feel like you're in a place you can sustain and be happy in!
