This week I decided to detox as a result of going overboard at Christmas. I can't believe how easy it's been. Today is my last day. Did I miss bread? The answer is no and neither did I miss biscuits and cakes. All around me were delicious smells of cooking but I couldn't indulge. I have a little bit of psoriasis and that has completely tamed down probably due to not eating too many yeast bearing foods. I've had live yoghurt three times and found a beautiful lemon drink sweetened with apple. I think with this done I'll now begin to follow a programme without falling off the boat so to speak. The drawbacks is forever having to juice & to turn around and wash up the machines, sometimes I thought it almost as bad as cooking meals. I ended up doing batch juicing and nothing oxidized as I put citrus in the drinks. I figured if it's good enough for elephants & apes to survive on plant food it's good enough for me. So it's been a week of fresh veg - beetroot, lemons, limes,apples, parsley, watercress, carrots and broccoli. I don't really care if my weight hasn't gone down all that the main thing is I found I could turn down offers of delicious looking food and survive on my weeks plan. I must admit to feeling tired at times and said I think I'll have a steak when it's all over but at present I feel fine. I have to say it was expensive but worth it. I bought spirulina and wheat grass in powdered form but have stacks left to carry on with and I know juices will now form a part of my eating regime. Positivity is working, now for exercise 20 minutes in 2 10 minute spurts.
