I wanted to see how good i've been about nutrition in the last 2ish months.. So I did some calculations..
I was high of my goals approximately 40.1% of the time.
I was on target with my goals approximately 34.1% of the time.
I was low of my goals approximately 25% of the time.
Only calories and carbs have a majority of higher than my goal days. Carbs is the big scary one though, out of the 58 days I've entered my food, 40 of those days I had eaten more carbs than I'd planned.. Thats approximately 69% of the time... That does not make me happy. I ate too many calories approximately 51.7% of the time.
What does this tell me? Well, it could be a few things.. Could my eating habits be that wacked? Probably. Could my goals be unattainable? No. I know I can reach them, I just haven't focused on them enough.
So if I'm right on these two points, it tells me a few things..
Mike, you need to curb all the grains that you've been slipping back to eating. That includes egg noodles. Veggies have fewer carbs than fruits because of the sugar content, so eat more veggies and less fruit. (Sweet!) Get calories from meat and fat, not carbs. To do that I can eat more lean meat; beef, chicken, pork and fish, and get calories from protein. Also, if I need a boost, dry roasted nuts like almonds, cashews, brazil nuts and walnuts are a great source of calories from fat, with few carbs and some extra protein.
Cool. Lets see how this goes.
