As I posted yesterday, I met one of my goals - to lose 50 pounds. It's not been easy, but it's been SO completely worth it. A few nights ago I was going through my dresser. In the bottom of one of my drawers, I found a pair of shorts my sister had bought me for my birthday a couple of years ago. They were the cutest plaid shorts ever and there they were, crammed in the bottom of a drawer with the tags still on them. Why? They didn't fit. They were a size 26 and I couldn't ever get into them. I was too embarrassed to tell my sister that a size 26 was too small, so I just poked them away thinking "someday." Well someday has come (and gone). Hubby and I got a kick out of me trying those shorts on. I pulled them up (without unbuttoning or unzipping them) and they fell right back off. They are huge on me now! I kicked them aside, did a little happy dance, and tossed them into the donations bag.
Although I was sad I never got to wear those super cute shorts, I gladly threw them in my donations bag (along with several pairs of jeans, a TON of too big t-shirts and some knit pants that I hope to never see, ever again).
So long big shorts!
