Tortillas and Avocados

I was writing about how it has cooled off here. This is Mexico and by cooling off I mean that it is in the low celcius range. It still reaches in the 20s in the day but the nights are a little cool. I added a blanket to my bed but I still was not totally good. So yesterday I had the idea of possibly going to bed with socks on and that did the trick. Last night I only woke up once and that is amazing. A full bladder will do that but the great thing was that I fell right back to sleep for a total of 8.5 hrs. It makes life look so much better. Today I got the idea of buying some tortilla chips (baked) and two avocados. I will weigh out the chips and squish the avocados and then DH and I will share equally. So good!!!!!!
The spanish lessons are going well. This is an old mind and does not work quickly. But it works at a certain speed and eventually I will master this skill. Total immersion would be good but not practical. Charlie will not work on it. He finds it too hard.
Yesterday I was working on english with a spanish teacher of art. She has been told in the ritzy school where she works that she will help teach english and she is petrified. I told her to bring the program to our next session and we will work specifically on it. What a lovely person she is. She is one of 3 sisters that I just love and they are all so beautiful inside and out. The oldest sister is really proficient in english and she was the one I first got to know. This is the amazing face of Mexico with such lovely people who value friends and family so highly. These 3 sisters are also great dog lovers. My kind of people!
