My original goal was to loose 60 pounds by my next birthday, which is coming up on April 18, 2013. I am a 25 year old junior high teacher whose husband's weightloss and support have been the much needed motivation to better myself. I started out in June of 2012 and was able to stick to my nutritional and exercise plans up until midway through August when school started back. In those three months, I managed to loose a little over 20 pounds. Since August, I had managed to maintain that loss and even lose a couple more pounds with some small ups and downs. I decided to recommit to my goals over Christmas break and since January 1st, I have been on a steady track to hopefully meet my goals. I have 29 pounds more to go and just over 3 months to do it so I am not going to push myself too hard (in an unhealthy manner) but with support and determination I believe I could get very close to meeting my goal and meet it at least by the end of this school year (toward the end of May).
By the way, if anyone is looking for an accountability buddy, please let me know. I need all the help I can get and love having someone to talk to about this. My husband is great, but he can do it without any help (He's lost about 100 pounds since February).
Edit: I'm not in as bad "shape" as I though (in regard to reaching goal). I just checked and I'm "only" 5 pounds higher than where I should be to reach my goal.
