emoticon emoticon

I aimed to shed the minimum of 1 pound and got a lovely surprise 2 pounds have vanished for ever emoticon do a little jig emoticon

So my exercise and eating plan is working. It is early days but I so pleased that I have managed to see results.
So up early exercise and eat within the range planned and I am on my way to being a slim me. The Food Journal helps as well I record what I have eaten and drunk, my exercise and how I have done for day and how I can improve things. Writing it down makes a difference I can see what I am doing and can alter things a I go along.

Planning the meals helps and having a snack in the evening planned out means it stops me wanting something.
Week 1 complete with a good result. Week 2 is under way and again I aim for a 1 pound downward shift.

I say 'gone forever' rather than saying 'lost weight' as having lost something implies you are looking for it and that for me means you want it back.
Yes there will be times that I will gain a little back and that is all part of life. I am realistic enough to realise that weight fluctuates and that I will gain, plateau and weigh less. Gone forever means I don't want it back and will work at keeping it off.

So I am working on a positive mindset that says this time I am not going to give in no matter what. My eating habits are going to change and this time for good.

So glad that you are doing well so far; 2 pounds is significant.

However, your "vanished forever' comment concerns me. Even during our successful months, we will see fluctuations. I did not ever consider pounds to be truly "gone", during my weight-loss stage, even though I consistently lost weight, until they remained off for at least 3 days. It just seems to be part of our "normal" weight loss cycle that we fluctuate.

Knowing that can help to keep you from feeling discouraged and blaming yourself if it occurs.

And, of course, then, later on, there will be "maintenance". Any of us who are there know that pounds are never gone forever. We always have to keep working at it.

The part of your attitude that I like, though, is your commitment to working at keeping those pounds off. :-) Tracking food, eating within range, planning meals and snacks and having an exercise plan sound like you have some solid strategies.
