Making Progress

Woo Hoo! I've lost another 1.5 lbs. for a total of 3 lbs in 2 weeks. That is one step closer to my first goal. Go me!

When I first restarted this overall journey in June, I was 221 lbs. My heaviest weight ever. I lost 15 lbs by October when I was running 3-4 times a week. Then I stopped running. I stopped this journey for 3 months. I gained 5 lbs. My clothes were starting to get tight again. I wasn't happy. I couldn't believe I let myself do this again.

The eye opener for me was my physical in December. My thyroid levels were high; my cholesterol is high. Now part of this is genetics, both my parents have hypothyroidism and high cholesterol. The thyroid I'm not sure I really can do much about that but the cholesterol I know I can. All of this lead me back to here to what has worked for me in the past.

So here I am again on this weight loss/healthy living journey. I know that I am going to make mistakes and have slip ups. I know that I will not want to exercise on a regular basis. It is all part of being a human. We make mistakes but we can either keep making those mistakes or learn from them.

I'm still learning from mine every day. Every day is a struggle but I keep doing it. This is for me and no one else.
