I have been wanting to lose weight for a LONG TIME now. It just seemed difficult to track everything and keep it all written down in spirals. But then I found this site. It is so easy to track everything. I have only done it for a day now, but I see myself being able to make progress. Even if I get a little of track this place has everything I need to keep me on track and help me get back on track!! I have slowly been starting to work out a little more with the Xbox kinect and eating a bit healthier, but it wasn't enough yet. I needed something to track my food/fitness/activities and this site does it all. Now I can easily hold myself accountable and have support from more people who are doing exactly what I am. I used to hate looking in the mirror and at a scale. With this site I need to get a new scale, so I can enjoy looking in the mirror again.

At the end of each blog I will be posting my current weight and fitness status and my very end goals to help myself keep up progress and to inform everyone of my progress.

Today I weigh 220 lbs and I can't walk half a mile without needing a break.
I plan to weigh 120 lbs and run a mile at a good and steady pace without any breaks.

    You have a big goal and I believe you can do it, but the best way to be successful will be to set several smaller goals along the way. Think about what you can do today and push yourself to make the best choices possible. Setting monthly goals might be a nice way to push yourself along, but don't just make them weight related. Make goals to get a certain number of fitness minutes or stay in your calorie range for a certain percentage of time. You can do this!

  Good luck - you can do it. Don't beat yourself up if you get off track, just get right back on track and keep going. I'm new to this site too - been using it about a week and I love it. I already feel better and am just taking it one day at a time. You can do it!!

    You are correct... this is a fabulous site to keep you accountable. Logging in daily was my first goal and worked :) There is so much information on this site - motivation to stay on track is EVERYWHERE. Good luck on your journey to better health.

    Good luck! You can do it. I was the same at you I have been on and off the dieting wagon then I found spark and they make it so easy!!!! And fun! And remember you can do anything once you set your mind to it.
