It is only a few days since I started my new quest and I have been exercising and eating healthier.... nevertheless, I have to hold on to my small successes to move forward into bigger goals. So I am taking it a step at a time.....
Adding more healthy foods instead of trying to restrict myself,,,, so I am coming from a place of abundance instead of restrictions,,,, which seems to be working for me,,,, so I am making it a point to eat much more veggies... and I keep trying to add them into every meal..... snacks at night are my downfall,,, I love potato chips or tortilla chips,,, or buttered popcorn,,,, so I have chopped up crunchier veggies and am talking time to HALT..... where I figure out whether I am eating because I am Hungry,,,, or Angry,,, or Lonely,,, or Tired.... which are the triggers that seem to cause me to reach for the "comfort" foods.
So now I try to stop to think what the root cause of my eating is,,,, and it helps me stop and make a choice,,,, and since little old me likes to be in control,,,, LOL,,,,, it is an easy concept for me and has been working so far.
Many people who have been successful on this site have talked about something "clicking" for them,,,,, well, here I am trying to find my "click",,,, since we are all unique individuals,,, what works for one does not necessarily work for all, so I will continue trying to find what works for me and go after it.
