As I am getting started...

I am in my second week of Sparkpeople and have noticed that I am losing some weight just by tracking food intake and adding some exercise. I am feeling a little more energy in this short time with minimal efforts. I am eating less, but do not feel deprived. I am noticing that I do feel hungry at meal times, which is a nice change. I am still eating a large meal in the evening, but the larger number of calories at one meal seems to be offset by my smaller meals. I am pleased to see numbers dropping on the scale and hope to be moving toward a healthier lifestyle which can be maintained.

    I do feel great about some early weight changes, but they are maybe not as dramatic as they appear. My first weigh in was at my parents house after a big meal. Since that time I have been weighing first thing in the morning before eating with not much clothing. I think I have lost 2 to 3 pounds for sure however and either way I am pleased with the way I am feeling.

    Wow! You are off to a great start - its amazing you are seeing results so soon. Congratulations! Results aren't always so dramatic - this takes time. But just think where you will be in three months if you keep this up! You will look back and thank yourself for starting this journey!
