Hello 5 lbs!

I stopped tracking because of vacation. We got home..and I stayed in vacation mode...top it off with a cold and being too tired to exercise for 2 weeks....followed by another two weeks of eating as I please and cookies GALORE...5lbs all of a sudden snuck up on me! I'm not surprised...but I can't get back on track for the life of me! I can blame the stressful week of work, the 10+ hour work days, being tired....but I know I could have found the will power to do the right thing...but I didn't!!!!

Nope...I gave in every night. Of course I'm at the point of pudgy uncomfortableness. Before our vacation, I was 5lbs from my goal...that isn't happening now! I know these 5lbs will take longer to get rid of, but I'm hoping that after hitting the gym tomorrow I'll see the light and get my butt in gear before the weekend!

I'm going to have to do extra planning this weekend to make sure I get enough protein in next week so that I'm not tired feeling and can get a workout in after work. I just want to see the scale creep back down!!! I'm aggravated with myself for not even putting up a fight. Hopefully it gets better since I've eaten so much today I'm sick to my stomach!

    Don't beat yourself up over this, you've lost the weight before, I'm sure you can do it. Go back to the tools that helped you do this in the first place, and remind yourself why you have to do this. emoticon

    Taking that first step and getting to the gym is how I have to start. Getting my sweat on makes it 100% easier to make the right choices with my food. Keep trying to make just one healthy choice until you realize that you've flipped the switch and it's back ON.

    This always happens to me. One year i lost 50 pounds looked better than HS only to put it back on in about 4 months. It seemed like every pound i put on i just said oh well whats another... feeling guiltier & more defeated by the pound. Looking back, even if i could've recognized 20pds in that i needed to get back on track i'd be miles ahead of where i am now..... Square one! 5pounds is nothing but look now or soon it will be 20. You can do it.... trust me you will not like where you are in a couple of months if you don't get back on track :)

    Gaining only 5lbs in a month isn't terrible. I'm sure once you get back into your good habits you'll be ready to go!
