I Wasnít The Biggest One For Once!

Thursday, January 10, 2013

2 NSVs For The Week:

1). Last night our costumer was taking measurements for the show and when she went to go talk to my director, I peeked down at all of the ladiesí dress sizes (I know, Iím bad). Guess what?
I WASNíT THE BIGGEST ONE.
This is HUGE to me. Every show Iíve EVER been in, Iíve ALWAYS been the biggest one in the cast. In fact, I was 3rd smallest! WOOHOO!

2). A fellow cast member thinks I could fit some of her custom made gowns. I couldnít believe it! Whenever the ladies of any cast that Iíve been in would talk about clothes, I would automatically tune out knowing I could never fit anything they wore. Iím beyond happy that things are different now!

My H.E.A. is doing wonderfully and I lost 1lb in my maintenance range. I donít think Iíll hit 184 by Saturday, but I may be 1lb above my maintenance range. I remain hopeful though!

That's great!!! I know EXACTLY what you mean about being the biggest one, and how exciting it is to NOT be the biggest one. I danced for many years, and I was always the biggest girl in the class/on the team. If I still did any sort of performance activity like that and needed to get measured for costumes or uniforms, I would totally not be the biggest one now! :) Well actually I might be. Dancers are often creepy-skinny. But at least I would be a healthy size and not a LOT bigger than the others. :)

I still love walking into a room, a restaurant, a party, wherever, and seeing that I am no longer the biggest one there and that I am in fact smaller than a lot of women. I guess it's kind of shallow, maybe? But It's such a relief and a comfort to know that at least no one is likely to be secretly judging you for your size!

Hooray for you and your awesome NSVs!

So happy for you that you are feeling more comfortably sized. What a relief to not stress about being the "biggest". If you try on those gowns, post photos - you can do a virtual fashion show for us : ) emoticon
