I'm cheating!

Thursday, January 10, 2013

or at least it feels that way. I committed to running a 5k in March. (see previous blog Thanks to SP motivators)

I am following the SP virtual race training routine. Which only has me on the treadmill for 30 minutes.

It feels weird. It feels like I am cheating on myself at the gym. I do an hour of cardio when I go to the gym, even on the days that I see my trainer. But the routine says 30 minutes of run/walk run/walk. Hmmmm......

However, I have also committed to doing this at least for a week to see what happens in my world. Tracking my food, doing this weird little 30 minute cardio thing, and checking next week to see if any weight falls off.

Tomorrow I do not see my trainer and I am only going to be 30 minutes on the treadmill. It just plain feels like I am cheating....weird!

Come back next week to see how I do!

That's how I felt when I first started C25K, we usually walked a mile afterwards just because we wanted to keep going

It sounds like you're ahead of the game as far as your 5K training program goes! Most 5k programs like that are "Couch to 5k (C25K)" and are aimed at people who haven't been regularly exercising.

You're going to do great!
