Getting Fit

Thursday, January 10, 2013

I have been active all my life, but during college I started to gain weight. That was a big deal for me because I never weighed more than 130 pounds. Losing weight since then has been an ongoing battle. I've changed my eating habits and have even increased how active I am and still have had problems dropping the weight. I have stayed positive though, knowing that my hard work will pay off. My vision/goal is to become fit enough to compete as a fitness model. I know I can do this. I know I can get to where I want to be. I'm not looking to get skinny for the sake of being skinny. I'm looking to get healthy so I can stay healthy for life.

It is truly inspiring to hear someone set a high goal. Best wishes!

Consider the inches and how you feel; as your body composition settles, ask yourself if your body is the kind that can support the activities that give you pleasure. Does your body support the endurance that you need? Can you balance the preparations for your future career with what it takes to support yourself today?

Big questions, big considerations to fit into what I know you hope will be a smaller, svelte package.

Enjoy the journey -- with the support of the SparkPeople Community.
