I got this recipe for chocolate-y oatmeal from Self Magazine a couple of years ago. I cut out the recipe and keep it on my pantry shelf so I can find it easily. I don't make it nearly enough!
The picture is the recipe from Self, and here is how I usually do it:
1/4 C. quick oats
3/4 C. water/soy milk blend
2 tsp. cocoa powder
2 tsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 T. ground flax seeds (when I have them)
Cook oats on the stove. While they are cooking, combine the cocoa powder, brown sugar, cinnamon and flaxseeds in a small bowl. When the oats are done, pour into a bowl and add the chocolate mixture. Stir, eat, and enjoy!
