Well the holidays are well and gone, but I still feel like they are lingering on the scale. All of the bites here and there, and the extra treats may not have made me gain much weight, but now I'm stuck. Big time stuck!
This week I've been really focusing though. I am on day 4 of a staying on track with my eating streak. No extra bites here and there and tracking EVERYTHING. When my weight stops moving I know eating is the reason. I tend to take little bites here and there that probably add up to a couple hundred calories a day. I NEED to stay on top of that. Otherwise I'm wasting my own time.
This week I've also tried logging all of my food intake for the day at the beginning of the day. I don't think I'll do this forever, but it has been helpful to eliminate any snacking. Plus, it keeps me away from being on the computer all the time which is good for me as well. Since it is working for now, I'll continue.
My new Fitbit that Santa brought me has proved to be a fun tool. There are a couple things that I'm not crazy about, like how when linked to SP it logs way more calories burned than what was my actual planned exercise for the day. I've gotten used to it though. Yesterday, because I wanted to earn a new badge, I walked over 9 miles and 20,000 steps!
I CAN'T WAIT for another 5% challenge to start. The challenges are very motivating for me and I think it will help break me through this plateau. Hopefully I will bust through before it starts though!
The weekend is coming up. When I'm home with my husband, that is when I tend to slack on the eating a little bit. This weekend I will really try to focus on tracking and staying in my calorie range.
