Dealing with negative people :(

The good news is that despite overwhelming negativity today I was able to meet my nutrition and fitness goals today and I didn't binge. The bad news is that I don't know how much longer I can put up with negative remarks.

I come home from work crying most nights. I love the work and the customers at my job, I just don't know how much more judging, negativity, greed, etc. that I can handle. Any advice?...anyone?

Sorry for ranting but writing this blog and ranting to you all is helping me not to binge..so thank you!

Thank you, it's nice to hear that someone else understands how I feel. In this day and age, it's unbelievable that I should have to put up with that kind of stuff at work, but it's a small business in the middle of nowhere and the owner has a lot of power. I know that I could turn him in, but that's a battle I don't really want to fight right now so I'll continue to just suck it up and deal with it.

    Oh girl...you aren't alone! I was so stressed by the end of last year that I took a few days off and made up my mind that this year will be stress free. I hear the words...and let it slide off. I get cussed and yelled at and feel that if some of the people attacking me would become physical if they could. I can't be responsible for their behaviour...only my own. I will NOT allow them to make me reflect their attitudes or behaviors. So...it's a focus in itself to keep going. Just stand strong! You can do this.

    Thank you Kristen. Just writing the blog helps. Believe it or not, I wrote a whole page and deleted most of it. It just felt good to write it down. Thanks again for your support..it really does help.

    Sorry that you have to deal with so much negativity...even if you try to not let it bother you, sometimes it's not that easy! Hang in there! Good for you for meeting your goals today.
