Back to the real world.

Vacations are nice aren't they? No cooking, or cleaning. Someone else doing all the work. I could get use to that. Well I spent the entire year getting ready for our big trip to Cali.

It was the vacation of a life time for us. Our 14 year old son marched in the Rose Parade. Talk about a proud moment. emoticon

He made the front page of the paper here in Morgantown.

We arrived in California and stayed at the Portofino hotel in Redondo beach right on the marina. This little guy became our friend.
The view from our balcony

We watched some of the floats being assembled in Pasadena.

We went to view the sights in LA. We got to see the Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood Blvd, and the Farmers Market.(picture of my daughter)

Here is a picture of MHS band marching down the parade route.

We spent the day At Santa Monica Pier.

Then off to Vegas and the Grand Canyon.

We had a wonderful time but it's really good to be back home !

Wow! Such a great trip.I lived out in AZ in the mid 90's for a while. Been to las vegas many times and the Grand Canyon but never made it to Cali. Wish I did. You have every right to be proud. That is a huge accomplishment for your son. Your family is beautiful, as are you!

You got the photo I still want: at the edge of the grand canyon. Everyone in my family has been there but me. Gotta work it in to some kind of trip some day.

What a great time it looks like you all had! Such an adventure for your son especially... but a memory the FAMILY will share forever! :-)))

And... yep... Home again home again ziggity zig, as they say.
I've been stayiing at my mom's cabin in Michigan off and on while the ongoing calamities at our Chicago apartment wind and unwind. Packing after 20 years in one place... not knowing whre I'm going to.

One thing's for sure.... I'm going to be embracing my friends... and daily, allowing the 'present moment' to invite me to take care of my Self (body mind and spirit).

Wishing you Health and Joy in 2013, T.

Ohmygosh, T, how did we not bump into each other? One of those places is my workplace, for heaven's sake!

Oh, yes, I was in San Francisco when you were here, huh? Otherwise, it could have happened!
