My energy level is really no different. My sinuses are bothering me, but that is most likely because eating foods in the ragweed family, like bananas and melons, trigger my allergies. To answer a few questions I have been asked: No, I do not miss chewing, yet anyway, but I have always been a heavy drinker, usually a gallon a day. My bowels have not been any different at all, I had a little over 18 inches of my colon surgically removed, and am therefore quite used to a high fiber high liquid diet as I have to eat one for life. The only nutrients I appear to be low on are protein and fats, which for a 5 day fast, my doctors will allow. If I should continue, I will probably add some type of protein powder, yogurt, or skim milk to my juice.

I really admire you for tying this. I could never do it. I like the physical feeling of chewing food.

    Keep up the good work!

It's awesome that you are juicing! I make smoothies instead of juicing, so I have the extra fiber. My kids love it to and I always throw some greens in no matter what kind of smoothie we are making. Their favorite is the Chocolate Cherry............1 cup greens, 1 cup frozen sweet cherries, 1/2 frozen banana, 1-2 tbsp baking cocoa, 1.5 cup almond or rice milk. Yummmy!

I would love to have your morning banana drink. Wish I could put bananas through the smoothie. Glad you are feeling good (besides the sinuses). It is good you are including flax seed. I always put flax in smoothies and oatmeal. So good for you. If you continue and are concerned about protein you could start making your smoothies with low fat milk, yogurt, or almond milk instead of water. Keep up the great work. I am so proud of you!
