Apparently I'm awesome

Wednesday, January 09, 2013

I don't know why but when people get referrals to the doctors at the hospital my office bills for, they get given our office phone number to call to make the appointment. We're a third party biller -- sorry, but we can't make your appointment. I got another of those calls today. I told the gentleman the right number to call. He said, "Thanks, you're awesome." I am? That felt good.

I'm getting better at posting electronic payments. They're more complicated than the ones that come on paper, but I'm getting there. I suspect I need for our lead to get back from medical leave to get the rest of it. However, I have totally aced posting the paper payments. Yesterday I had $139,000 posted and balanced by an hour before quitting time.

Right now I'm having some wine and watching one of my favorite Chopped episodes. One of the contestants had a major crush on one of the judges. Nobody said anything, but I could tell from the smirks on both sides of the table that everybody knew what was going on. I don't think he heard a word she said. She could have said his dish tasted like pencil shavings in motor oil and he would have given her that puppy-eyed smile. It was just adorable.

Come on Friday!

All it takes is to hear something like that, especially from a stranger, to help you feel better about yourself. BUT, you did an awesome thing helping that guy. it takes so little to be kind like you were, yet look how you were rewarded! i'll bet he even told a lot of his friends about the awesome lady who went above and beyond to help him out! You are a really special person!! Now others know even more than ever.

What a nice comment and how good you felt too. When I was working and my employees did this, I felt so good too. You are worth it and your are AWESOME!!
It is just so nice when someone realizes it and tells us. Woo Hoo!! Glad your job
is becoming easier and you enjoy it. Keep cooking up a storm and sharing with us.
I saw a show the other night too, might have been the same one, Monday night.
The man (biggest looser show) only lost 5#, so had to leave. The leader cried and
hugged him and it was so sad. I am sure they do become very close in two weeks when working with someone like this. He went on to tell, he got engaged and his
girlfriend said yes and was so happy. emoticon emoticon emoticon Have a beautiful day awesome lady! hugs, Irish Ei

Well you are awesome! We know that! I am not sure I always understand what you do and maybe this is not as related as I think but in Norway all most all payments for anything are electronic. There are no checks at all and people hardly carry cash. All of our bills are paid electronically and even when you pay back a neighbor or a friend for something is is often done straight from your account to theirs on line. When I first moved here I still carried my check book as a wallet and a store clerk looked at it in amazement and said "Is that at check book? I've never seen one of those before!"

Have a great day!

How nice of him! Of course, he was only telling the truth. You ARE awesome. Especially with posting those payments-that sounds like a ton of work, and you obviously are doing a fantastic job with it.

Print this post out on pretty paper and tape it up somewhere discreet in your office where only you will ever see it-- maybe inside a drawer-- and read it to yourself once a week. You're awesome, you're kind to people you don't have to be kind to, you have aced paper payments, and it's never very long until Friday.

Glad that you are feeling more comfortable with your new position. I'm now working on implementing electronic medical records, and I know that our electronic claims will be increased and I hope the coding will be more accurate. Good for you enjoy the evening.
