"Nobody leaves this place without singing the blues"

Can anyone tell me from what movie this quote was blatantly stolen? If you guessed Adventures in Babysitting, you would be correct. I saw it on TV earlier. LOVE that movie. Anyway...

I have some exciting news! I started a new job today. Hubby started a new job this past Monday. New jobs for everyone! I finally feel like I can breathe a little easier now. We have been on a little bit of a financial roller coaster for the past 6 months, and things got really crummy last month (luckily, someone did her holiday shopping early or things would have looked rather Grinchy around here...) Now I just need to step up my fitness minutes. We have a full weekend of sunny, warm weather (if TWC is to be trusted) ahead, so I am hoping to get to the park both days so I can soak it all in. I am all for winter weather in winter, but if we get a 72 degree curve ball, damn it, I'm going to enjoy it.

Last weekend, we went for a run. I pushed the stroller for 2 laps (3 miles), and the WHOLE time, Ozzy was saying, "I need to run, Mommy! I don't want to sit in the stroller." We made a deal that I would run 3 miles and then let him run the 3rd lap, so the little man logged 1.5 miles for the day as well. I think it's time to get him a bicycle or something... The past 4 years have not been kind to that poor stroller. lol

Well, I suppose it is time to catch up with my DVR and do some squats and crunches and things...

    emoticon on the new job!

I hope you enjoy your weekend weather. Ours just took a turn towards winter (well as much winter as you get in Southern Cal) but it will be the lowest temps all year for the next 3 days. Luckily, tomorrow's planned walk is in the afternoon, so it should be decent at least at that time.

You are setting such a great example for your son and exercise! emoticon

A bike would be great for the little one. He could ride behind you like the coach in the old Nintendo Punch-Out game. "Keep running, Mac." And good for you for setting such an awesome example for him.

New jobs are exciting. Hope all goes smoothly for both you and the husband.
