1. Am successfully running on the treadmill... 3.8 miles today.
2. Got my niece to walk 5 miles with me yesterday.
3. Signed up for a 5k.
Those are just the top three that I can think of off the top of my head. There are more, of course! This was the exercise for the day for me on SparkCoach.
Went to the gym today and did a full workout (cardio and ST). Completed Day 3 of the 5k running training program. I really felt the fact that I didn't rest yesterday, but still managed to set a pretty good pace. I am going to try and take it a little easier tomorrow... notice I said "try"! That means 5 -6 miles walking and very little else. It would be nice to relax and read a book tomorrow afternoon. I have to walk the dog, but he can probably use a rest day too. I am still planning to make Saturday and Sunday rest days (or at least recovery days). I find that I NEED to take those rest days if I am going to do my best with the running.
I had a protein shake after my workout today. I am going to try and do that regularly and see if it has an effect. I know that eating something is a good idea after a vigorous workout, I just have a tendency to forget to eat. That might have something to do with why my weight hasn't really changed for the last couple of weeks... or maybe I have finally hit a plateau.
