I am forcing myself to write this because blogging is meant to help ...
For the last two nights I have overeaten ... and it is annoying because I am so good all day. I think what is happening is that I get home and I'm all alone and I've been vigilant all day, working hard and keeping my food and exercise up ... On goes the TV and BOOM ... in goes the food!
Its so annoying because its so destructive!
As I type, I realise that I have to take breaks throughout the day ... I can work consistently for 10 hours straight and only take minor breaks to eat lunch and have a cup of tea ... maybe have a brief chat but otherwise, I am fully focussed on tasks - I am so driven all day that by the time I get home, I have nothing left in terms of self discipline!
I also realise that I have not done my grocery shopping since returning from my holiday so my action plan is:
- Do my grocery shopping today (and get lots of fresh fruit and veg for my snacks)
- Take breaks throughout the day so that I am more relaxed when I leave work
- Plan my dinner meals and have them ready to prepare before I get home so I don't start snacking on other foods while I think about what to cook for tea
- Find healthy, enjoyable and regular ways to relax in the evenings.
Ok ... I best get back to work now - that was a nice break ... I'm feeling better already! :)
