A cheese freak...

Wednesday, January 09, 2013

found my cheese! It was in the kitchen still in a small plastic grocery bag with a few other things. I had eaten some at the Big Y in their small area with chairs and tables. I had been reading a book and having coffee and a little of my own cheese. so the next day I knew I had eaten some but coulf not find the opened package of cheese! It was very weird.

I only had a craving for it because It was dinner time the next day and I was hungry.
Mystery solved! emoticon

I do love cheese and it has wrecked many a good eating day for me. this time I was able to have some and not eat the whole thing. I was very proud of myself.

I have found a substitute that fills me up and does not make me want more and more. It is a non-dairy cheese from the Daiya company. I bought the mozzarella flavor. It melts beautifully. I put it on cooked spinach with caramelized colored peppers. Delicious and didn't make me want a ton of it.

I had stopped buying cheese for a few months because I couldn't control myself. This smoked Gouda was the first I had bought in a long time.

I also bought another non-dairy cheese made from chashew nuts. That left a funny taste in my mouth. I probably won't buy it again.

So...that is the whole cheesy story! chris emoticon

I do low fat or non fat cheeses. I love cheese and eating low or no fat cheese helps me feel a little better when I eat an ounce or two.

I won't do non-dairy cheese. Usually living low-carb and natural, I prefer raw-milk cheeses with all the good enzymes intact. Glad you solved the mystery!

I could live on cheese, warm Brie from the oven on savory crackers. Yummy.

I'm kinda sorry you found your cheese. It was a real mystery on who moved it or better yet, who ate it. :) But I guess you are happy about, so I will be too.
Take care and watch where you put it the next time lol Noel

It is always good to know our weaknesses and triggers. I too love cheese but I just decided it is only for rare special occasions.
