Prayer Shawls

Wednesday, January 09, 2013

I wanted to post some pictures of our prayer shawls as per someone's suggestion. These are three that I have done. The blue one and the pink one are knitted and the green tweed is crocheted. The other picture is the stack that we have finished so far as a group. There is only 6 of us and we started about two months ago.
We'll take them to the Veterans Hospital the beginning of next month. They're really glad to get them which makes me feel really good. We also give them to anyone in church who knows someone who could use one. I'm working on another one now which is also knitted.
We had labels made which say they were made by St Luke's Episcopal church and we sewed them in last week.

My husband & I were both recipients of prayer shawls from our church family you will never know how much those prayer shawls impact those of us who recieve them.
